located in the peaceful rural village of Haxton, Wiltshire, we are fully set up for socially distanced recording, with separate performance and engineering rooms, with full line of sight between the two.

our comfortable live room is plenty big enough for up to 5 people to play together.

Our control room is accessed by a separate door and contains our iMac running Logic Pro X with many of the latest software instrument and high-quality plug ins including,

Waves bundles and Ceiemony Melodyne Studio 5, we can record up to 16 channels of audio simultaneously, and have high end outboard equipment such as our Manley Voxbox channel strip, Black Lion audio analogue to digital converters,

Mindprint DTC channel, and Kemper profiling amplifier.

Our microphones include Peluso 2247le (Tube U47 clone) Lauten audio Clarion (FET Condenser) Miktek C5 matched pair (small diaphragm condensers) and 2 MXL Lundahl edition ribbon mics.


We also have all the usual dynamic mics like shure SM57(x 2) shure SM91 (x 2).

For monitoring we use Genelec speakers and Event Opals.

We can offer a full production service from creating a bespoke backing track for you to sing to.  We also offer mixing and production assistance for your Band, rehearsal space with live recording, audio restoration and mastering.

Sound engineer & founder of Tunnel Rat Recording Studio

Eddie has been involved within the music industry, during which time he has worked with some of Ireland’s Major Bands and Artists as a sound engineer. He has toured with Folk and Traditional Irish Bands throughout the world, up until the late 90s.

Eddie retired to take up other interests in 1998.

In 2016 Eddie returned to the industry, and founded Tunnel Rat Recording Studios, Eddie has recently returned from Ireland after working with two major artists.

Eddie is a established sound engineer, with experience in recording and production, including voice-overs and also live recording of bands, choirs, orchestras, and solo artists.

Jolyon has been a professional musician, recording engineer and producer for 26 years. During that time he has recorded and toured with artists such as, Toyah Willcox, Mark Owen, Pete Townsend, Rachel Fuller, Amy Macdonald, Alfie Boe, Judie Luke, Voice of the Beehive, Chesney Hawkes and The Who.

He has also played alongside many others including Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Peter Sarstedt, Suggs and Steve Craddock. During the last 26 years, he has played on 8 UK top 10 albums (including 1 number 1) 1 US billboard top album, and 4 million plus albums worldwide.

He has been a musical director for large tours, and produced and mixed recordings for major label releases. Jolyon, has spent 4 years co-developing an educational music programme for children with special needs, which is used in schools across Cardiff. He composes and records music for various clients including the Cbeebies channel, Justin Fletcher and Alfie Boe, some of his recent productions have had airplay on BBC radio 6 music.
